Feel the threat, monitoring matters
That drum fill. You know the one. It’s the sound of impending doom. In cyber terms, it’s that feeling in your gut when something’s off on the network. You don’t see it, but you feel it.
Gen X grew up trusting instincts. We knew when a mixtape was going to get chewed by the Walkman before it even started. Same with cyber, monitoring tools are the modern gut check. If you don’t have them, you’re basically driving blind with the stereo up too loud.
Threat detection isn’t optional. If Phil Collins can feel it coming in the air tonight, you should be able to feel it in your logs. Real-time alerts, anomaly detection, intrusion monitoring, that’s your drum solo. Miss it, and you’ll never recover.
Resilience means tuning your ears to the beat. When that breach hits, you won’t get an encore.
